PROJECT MANAGEMENT HIGHLIGHTS


• Managed coordination of production processes with facility expansion, upfits and shutdowns in a cGMP Oral Solid Dosage Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
Responsible for P&ID flowsheet reviews, design layout, coordination & interface between design groups, design review and constructability of cGMP facilities work, OSD manufacturing equipment, and significant upgrades to existing infrastructure, including oxidizer, emergency generator and chillers.
High purity piping design & installation, support systems, installation and controls.
Design installation of reactors, mixing operation, distillation, loading and unloading of tank farm solvent delivery systems.
Vessel load-cell & weigh system used during filling and transfer process. Coordinated design parameters for processing room layout, pressurized unloading, nitrogen blanking system and controls.
Validation of process control systems, high purity piping systems, nitrogen delivery and controls, vessel design, distillation, HEPA filtration, filtration for the OSD facility. Managed design VE and installation of new Glatt fluid bed dryers, OSD manufacturing equipment, pancoaters, blenders, reactors and granulators.

• Managed design and upfit of Crating manufacturing plant, including automated palletting equipment, machine design layout, custom layout assembly stations, sawmill, dust collection and conveyer systems.
Provided advanced level assistance on design and installation of plastic packaging production system including backstands, cutting and heat sealing stations.
Designed and implemented new production processes that led to increased production and improved quality while allowing the flexibility to incorporate change orders from customers.
Conceived and executed new system for managing, tracking and coordinating production in progress between 3 plants and lumber processing facility. Managed all maintenance for entire campus for over 10 years.

• Supervised communications upfit within occupied Heart Center ICU.

• Led completion of project that redesigned existing equipment and processes to halt costly dust collection system failures and feed conveyor malfunctions. Installed automation and monitoring equipment that improved efficiency of lumber milling process through issue of status reports.

• Managed install of infrared remote automation system that allowed overhead cranes in Steel mill to be operated without operators in control cab.

• Supervised switchover of Boiler Plant from Analog to Digital Controls to properly synchronize steam production to plant demand resulting in 30% decrease of annual energy consumption.
Advanced level assistance in system design that synchronized wood, oil and gas fired boilers to work as single system to allow burning of waste wood to offset oil and gas consumption.

• Participated in $1 Billion International Engineering and Construction Project sharing work over four continents. Provided advanced level assistance in design and documentation of Predictive Maintenance Program for world-class petroleum refining facility.

- Provided Reliability Engineering and Technical Support for the design of PdM Program at World Class Petroleum Refining Facility.
- Participated in all aspects of Engineering Support, performing FMEA's and developing overall Maintenance Strategy.

Current Builders, Inc - General Superintendent (2006-2007) Assistant Superintendent (2005-2006)
- Recovered 62 days during project finishes avoiding liquidated damages.
- Finished 2 separate 9-story high rises on contractual TCO date.

Hardin Construction Co. - Superintendent / Field Engineer III / MEP Specialist (2005)
- Responsibilities were Middle school in its entirety and underground Utilities for School and County Park.
- Completed all underground utilities and had entire campus under roof in less than 6 Months.
- Worked directly with structural engineer and threshold inspector to insure quality control.
- Documented project progress with Engineer of Record and held bi-weekly meetings with Building Inspector.

Whiting-Turner Construction - Operations Interface / Construction Support / Superintendent (2003-2005)
-Coordinated work with Building Maintenance/Operations and vendors to maintain project progress in occupied Pharmaceutical facility running three shifts.
- Supervised Shut Downs as well as Test and Balance.
- Assigned oversight of common area and retail mechanical systems as well as smoke evac for garages on mixed use condo/retail to review design, resolve trade conflicts and accelerate schedule.

Airflow Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Inc. - Operations / Project Manager (2001-2003)
-Responsible for developing and expanding company operation from 6 employee Heating & Cooling Contractor to 21 employee Heating Cooling & Plumbing
Contractor within a 2 year period.
- Began specializing in multi-system, multi-zone installations and hybrid systems for off-grid applications.
- Designed systems consisting of wood or gas fired boilers for hydronic heat, Solar Powered Low Voltage circulating pumps combined with Air Conditioning for Cooling.
- Oversaw commercial and light industrial project design and installation.
